It's been nearly a year since I posted anything to this blog (though I have been updating the sidebar). People keep writing me asking for updated information. As far as Zaken goes, this blog is as up-to-date as it can be. If you want to read about my experience with Zaken, go back to the first post and work back through the blog. Be sure to read the comments--they can be very enlightening.

If you are really serious about making money, though I cannot say whether the Zaken Corp is a scam or not, I will say that there is at least one program I have tried and made decent money with, and that is Mystery Shopping. With Zaken, you have no way of knowing how much your effort will get; with mystery shopping, you go out to a shop knowing exactly how much you will need to spend and how much you will earn. It helped me pay off my credit card after my daughter was born, and I highly recommend it. The Mystery Shopping Directory here is the very one I bought into and used, and it more than paid for itself in a couple of weeks.

For other ways to earn money, just look at the sidebar to the left. I try to keep this as up-to-date as possible. Also you can see what I'm doing on Twitter over there too! Feel free to contact me through my profile if you have any questions.

Hello, my name is James, and I am considering joining the Zaken Corporation's program. After reading your blog, I had some misgivings about doing so. What would your advice be to me? Have you made any money with this company at all? You can contact me by email at jwboss94@gmail.com or view my blog, the REAL Wold blog at

they're a total scam. a good friend worked for them. and boy, did he get hell. they scam people who can barely write off their money, and the call center people are going crazy trying to calm angry "associates". all you will see in their warehouse is a stack of letters to be sent and the "kits" that they are selling, who by the way hires mexicans who can't even speak english.

Sorry but I filled an app for Mystery Shopper and then Carl Thomas sent me an email asking me to do one for Western Union and expected me to wire 200.00. Mystery Shopper turned out to be the scam.

To JWalker_94, I'm sorry I didn't get back to you earlier. I rarely check this blog and it doesn't update me by email. I should fix that. Anyhow, I can't really give you advice. Based on my experience, I was inclined to believe that Zaken is a legitimate company. However, as time has gone on, the more I read, I am inclined to think they aren't. If you read the all the archives, you would see that I sent the kit back and got a refund before I could make any money. That's why I can't say for sure. But I would say there are probably better ways to spend your time that are much more profitable.

And to answer nthisisme, I would say you have to be very careful of mystery shopping! The directory I sell here on this blog IS legitimate. I could post a screenshot of my paypal to prove it--but I'm not going to bother unless you REALLY want to see it. But I have gotten those "send me $XXX through Western Union" scams. Search Youtube for "Sterling Consumer Surveys" to find a video I did on that topic a couple of years ago. A real mystery shop using Western Union would send you a check for a small amount--probably under $20, and would not pay you until the shop had been completed.

Most mystery shopping companies don't do money sending stores. When I mystery shopped, the only time I was sent a check was to "shop" a bank and rate the clerk who was to cash it--and I had to send the money back. I shopped the grocery store, a video store, a number of clothing stores... I made a bit of money, but it was a lot of work. But at least I knew what I was going to make going into it. Working with Zaken, I never had that promise.

So yes, you have to be careful about mystery shopping. If you buy the directory I sell here on the site, you can get access to a lot of legitimate companies. And if you decide it's not for you, you can get a refund. How's that?

Hi, I am Bernie and I joined Zaken in 2004. I mailed 5000 cards to business with no responce. I am disabled and on a fixed income so I had to get a loan and it took me three years to pay it off. It was alot of long hours for nothing. When I tried to talk my mentor it was hard to get in contact, then I was told not to call again.
I never heard from them for the past few years until yesterday when I recieved a letter from Mr. Zaken. He said I had to call right away to get in on his special offer. I was going to call just to see how much money he wanted this time, but I lost the letter with the special code. Just as well as I do not have the money anyway and I will not get a loan again for nothing.
Contact me @ bersal2@charter.net for your commit.
